8 Days Botswana Safari – Okavango Delta, Moremi & Chobe National Park

Upon arrival at Maun International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel or lodge. Maun is the main gateway to the Okavango Delta and an important starting point for exploring northern Botswana.

After check-in, spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, you may have an opportunity to explore the town or enjoy an optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. In the evening, meet your guide for a safari briefing and prepare for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a light aircraft flight into the spectacular Okavango Delta. Enjoy impressive aerial views of winding waterways, seasonal floodplains and islands surrounded by lush vegetation.

On arrival at your safari camp, you will be welcomed by the camp team and shown to your accommodation. After lunch and some time to relax, head out for an afternoon activity, which may include a guided mokoro excursion or boat safari, depending on the camp location and water levels.

The Okavango Delta is a unique inland wetland ecosystem that supports a remarkable variety of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes and numerous bird species.

Spend the day discovering the beautiful waterways and wildlife of the Okavango Delta. Begin with an early morning activity when wildlife is often more active. Depending on the camp and seasonal conditions, enjoy a guided game drive, mokoro excursion or boat safari.

A mokoro trip offers a peaceful way to explore the Delta’s narrow channels and shallow lagoons. Guided by an experienced local poler, you will glide through the reeds while observing aquatic birds, frogs and other wildlife along the waterways.

After lunch and some relaxation at camp, enjoy another afternoon safari activity. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

After breakfast, depart the Okavango Delta and continue to Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. The journey may be by light aircraft or road, depending on the selected camp and safari arrangements.

Moremi combines floodplains, lagoons, open grasslands and woodland habitats, creating an excellent environment for diverse wildlife. On arrival, check in at your lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch.

Later, head out for an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes and predators such as lions and leopards. Return to camp before sunset for dinner and overnight.

Today is dedicated to exploring Moremi Game Reserve and its remarkable wildlife. After an early breakfast, set out on a morning game drive with your professional safari guide.

Explore the reserve’s different habitats, including open grasslands, woodland areas and seasonal floodplains. Moremi is known for its rich wildlife, and you may encounter elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, hippos and several antelope species. With some luck, you may also spot lions, leopards, cheetahs or African wild dogs.

Return to camp for lunch and a short rest before an afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Moremi and travel north towards Chobe National Park, with the transfer arranged by road or light aircraft depending on your selected accommodation.

Chobe is famous for its large elephant population and impressive concentrations of wildlife, particularly around the Chobe River. Its landscapes include riverine forests, floodplains, woodland and open savannah.

Arrive at your lodge near the Chobe Riverfront, check in and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you may enjoy a guided game drive or relax at the lodge while taking in the surrounding wilderness.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Chobe National Park. Explore the riverfront and surrounding plains, which attract large herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. Predators such as lions and leopards also inhabit the park.

In the afternoon, enjoy a memorable boat cruise along the Chobe River. This is an excellent opportunity to observe elephants coming to drink, hippos resting in the water, crocodiles along the riverbanks and a variety of waterbirds.

The cruise also offers beautiful views of the river landscape, especially as the sun sets over the African wilderness. Return to your lodge for dinner and your final overnight stay in Botswana.
